  • Why does inkless camouflage work?

Inkless camouflage works similar as Microneedling. It creates trauma on the treated area – forces is to heal by sending fibroblasts to start the healing process. Because the cells are damaged they start producing new collagen and elastin to repair small fractures.

We use inkless serum to insure the needle glide and to induce much needed hydration to the treated area.

  • Why we can’t treat keloid scars?

Keloid scars are raised, reddish nodules that develop at the site of an injury. After a wound has occurred to the skin both skin cells and connective tissue cells (fibroblasts) begin multiplying to repair the damage. A scar is made up of ‘connective tissue’, gristle-like fibers deposited in the skin by the fibroblasts to hold the wound closed. With keloids, the fibroblasts continue to multiply even after the wound is filled in. Thus keloids project above the surface of the skin and form large pile of scar tissue. Keloids need to be overseen by a doctor. He can perform a skin biopsy to rule out more serious conditions such as nodular scleroderma, a type of connective tissue disease or a fungal infection of the skin.
